I'm Margaret Williams, faculty advisor for Clermont College's student newspaper, The Lantern. On 20 Nov. 2024, we quietly purchased this new site for The Lantern. We hope you'll stay tuned as student journalists begin filling this site with stories, commentary, photographs, videos, podcasts and more — all related to what's happening at Clermont College and what matters to its students.

Clermont, by the way, is part of the University of Cincinnati system. We're located near Batavia, Ohio, about 25 miles from the Cincy "Clifton" campus. The Lantern launched in the 1970s and was in print until 2012. That year, the newspaper shifted to online-only. The COVID years were tough for the newspaper, but we're optimistic that the new site, new energy, and a new group of students will make this a vibrant enterprise.
